Though we couldn’t bring a live feed for all to follow, we have recorded the sermon and have uploaded it again. Again, God Bless all and Happy Memorial Day.
This morning First Baptist Church of Bellevue is celebrating Memorial Day by having our Worship in the Park church services. So we don’t have a live feed to share this morning. It is our apologies for not getting this notification out sooner. We are excited for what we may be able to bring you in the future with technologies offered nowadays though, in which I believe there will be an opportunity to live feed next years Worship in the Park to Facebook and YouTube. God bless you all, and happy Memorial Day. And thank you to all of our followers whom have served in the military past and present! We wouldn’t have this opportunity and the many freedoms that we have today without your sacrifices.
Our youth pastor at his finest. We love ya pastor Roger Pross
Thank you, Old Chicago in Papillion, for the fabulous pizzas you made - Fresh, on-site - for those effected by the flood, the volunteers working, and anyone who just needed a break! Y’all are awesome!
Just a reminder that the 8:30am service and 9:45am Sunday School has been canceled today. But 11:00am services are a go. We look forward to meeting everyone then.
It was a really good turn out at tonight’s Cajun Night.
It's almost that time. Mark your calendars and feel free to share the invitation.
Due to the weather all church services have been canceled for Sunday, Feb 24th. Be safe and stay warm. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Due to weather and road conditions, regretfully we are canceling church services this morning for 8:30am/11:00am services and for 9:45am Sunday School. Please be safe everyone. Though we won’t be meeting as a community together, either physically in church or bringing a service to you online, we encourage you to spend some time in the Word today, and praise and worship the Lord Jesus. Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Though we aren’t meeting today, the Lord abides in us everywhere we are. Find someone you haven’t talked to in a while, reach out to them and encourage them. Let them know they are loved. You never know what impact you may have on someone just by reaching out. Stay safe, and God bless!
Motivational speech for the week, or even for life... Be positive and motivate others, knowing for who the Lord has bestowed upon us and put upon our paths. For the the Lord Jesus is waiting on you... ——— Matthew:11:28-30 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” ———- Don’t let others negativity of “NO YOU CAN’T” dictate your day... which may illusion itself as best interests, failures of what you are trying to accomplish/overcome, or even even your life circumstances in general. The list goes on. Nor even let failures get in your way. For the Lord loves you, and accepts you just where you are. Be safe, use common sense, but also do not discredit yourself. Yet seek all answers of how God would want us to live (God’s love letter to all of humanity regardless of beliefs). The Lord has given you more power than you know, and we cannot even fathom the depths of his grace and love (it is so far beyond us that we cannot even comprehend nor communicate). Don’t fall for the distractions of life, but rather dive in to the Word of God (and understand the good news of Jesus). For He wants to hear directly from you. So pray anywhere you are at, at any time... For the next second, minute, hour, day, week, month, or even year is not promised us. Put Christ first amongst everything you are concentrating on and everything else will just fall in to place and you WILL find joy and contentment (even in times of turmoil. For nothing different in life has been done under the sun. Yet there is joy and purpose for everything! Ecclesiastes: 3 (sorry folks, you will have to break out the Bible or search the Internet for this bible book and chapter, but yet this post summarizes the concept and then some). But I encourage all to open and read the Bible for yourselves.
Good morning all! We hope that your past week has been blessed. And as the new week starts let’s pause to consider all that the Lord has done. We look forward to praising and worshipping with you later this morning.
Happy New Year all! As we close on 2018 it is customary for many to create new year’s resolutions. Did you know that for many those resolutions fail for many by just February? Some statistics report that up to 80% fail by then. As we celebrate the new year, and consider our New Year resolutions, let’s consider living like Christ. For some this may mean accepting Christ for the first time. For others it may mean rededicating, or recommitting our lives to Christ. In doing so let’s commit to loving one another like Christ loves. Let’s consider some examples that Christ showed.... 1. John 1-3,14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. In other words, He creates us. And despite, or rather because of, our imperfections and sin He left Heaven to be with us... and to even die for us. Jesus subjected Himself to every sort of temptation and pain that we deal with... and then some that we can’t even fathom. Also Philippians 2:5-8 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross! 2. John 13:2-5 The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. How many of us would go to the length of washing someone’s feet whom knows that person hurt us, let alone wash the feet of a friend? How can we minister to both fellow believers, and non believers? 3. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. See also John 3:16 Philippians 2:1-4 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Hopefully in this New Year this brings some comfort to your lives. Or hopefully this can bring some comfort to the lives of others, even if they are not followers of this Facebook page. But that can only be done if we share the good news. Please feel free to copy/paste this on your wall or even share. —————— And as always, remember, Jesus loves you just where you are. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
Live your life to the fullest. By loving one another, holding each other close. And being thankful for the relationships that God has permitted. Put away petty things, and cherish one another... living and loving for others more than oneself. Be there in time of happiness, and there in times of need. And in there, you will find God and will find peace. Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 1 Corinthians 10:24 Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. Ephesians 4:2 With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
